Interrelation of the level of satisfaction with appearance with value-semantic orientations and seif-attitude in the period of youth

The article is devoted to determining the value structure of personality and establishing place external appearance in general orientations; influence on various spheres students’ life; identifying differences between respondents with high medium levels satisfaction their own appearance; relationships level appearance, values young people self-attitude. sample consisted (n = 108), boys 46) girls 62) aged 18-20, first-year students Urals Federal University, Yekaterinburg. results analysis showed following value-semantic person's – health, self-confidence, personal development, love (physical spiritual intimacy), material security. Appearance takes 15th place. In views students, an attractive affects sphere communication friendship. There are no significant different appearance. authors come conclusion that higher people's assessment positive self-attitude, expected attitude from others. self-accusation inverse proportion.
